Snotrak FEATURES :
Asset Management Record and manage your entire fleet of equipment - ranging from loaders, large capacity spreaders and plows, to light plow and inspection vehicles - used specifically for snow removal operations. Distinguish between contracted equipment, government owned and operated equipment, unique rate structures, equipment age, and a complete problem and repair history for each vehicle. Resource Management Personnel: Manage the skills (CDL drivers, equipment operators, management) and necessary labor force needed to combat wintry and emergency roadway conditions. Identify roadway and route deployment plans in advance -- providing management with a clear and organized approach to responding to emergency situations. Abrasives Identify and track the various type of abrasives available for dispersing on roadways - including salt, sand, or chemical ice-ban - and their associated per unit costs. These resources are then made available during snow "events" -- allowing for full accountability of usage. Time and Attendance: Track who is working, where they are working, shift changes, when the individual clocked in and when they clocked out. Know instantly how many CDL drivers you have available, and any routes or roadways that they have been trained on. Find out the "exceptions" - such as where you have insufficient labor resources. Monitor your ongoing costs throughout the weather storm - with a final cost tally available IMMEDIATELY at the end of your snow event. Distinguishes between regular and overtime hours and costing. Now, manages resources year round – including events for Flooding, Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Terrorism etc.
Route and Roadway monitoring Locate which roadways and routes have been plowed or abrasives applied, which vehicles have been dispatched and the drivers of each of these vehicles. Quickly identify roadways that do NOT have any vehicles deployed, track the number of passes on specific routes, and the condition of each route (icy, heavy snow, light snow, wet).. Cost accounting / FEMA reporting
Scenerio 1: You have mobilized your team and resources for anticipated wintry conditions, and your contractors are on standby. All available weather service providers have predicted a BIG storm. After 8 hours of "standby" the storm eventually misses your locality - and you send your staff and contractors home. Your organization has spent $25,000 in overtime, contracted and equipment costs -- and yet there was no wintry weather that precipitated. How do you justify these costs? With our Management Journal feature - we provide you with tools to record changes to weather forecasts, updates to resource mobilizations, any official actions (such as school closings or government delay, early releases), as well as the inner-management decision making process -- so that you have complete justification for all of the actions that you take during the "crisis". Information is easily recorded through the system, and can be reported in chronological date and time order. You will not have to worry about justifying expenditures either during a "real" snow event, or a missed one.
After all of the emergency roadways have been sufficiently cleared, the residential roadways are targeted for plowing and/or spreading operations. To manage any requests for snow removal service, or complaints - SnoTrak includes a built-in call center tool, that records complaints- and associates each complaint with it's designated route. This allows your management team to instantly identify and notify the driver / vehicle who is covering the route - to respond to the complaint on their next "pass" through the neighborhood. Weather Services Portal has been setup as a "portal" allowing you to have access to all tools that you need to manage a snow event -- including online weather services - from a single software package. You can rely utilize generic web sites such as National Weather Services, Accu-Weather Services or the Weather Channel -- or your SnoTrak software can link to more specific weather services or pavement sensors (such as SSI). Access to all weather and pavement monitoring can be found in one location, at your fingertips.
